It has been discussed on this forum how image rotation inevitably degrades the image. Pentax, Panasonic, Olympus, and Fuji) can do it, right? So why is it a problem for you if Sigma puts that capability into SPP to make things easier for us? Pretty much eveything else, including the raw converters from Sony, Canon, Nikon, and probably everyone else (i.e. It's not like only Lightroom, Photoshop, and GIMP can do it, and I'm not suggesting Sigma make SPP into something like those or Aperture or even RawTherapee.

but those two things are pretty basic and necessary things in a dark room, and any image processing software lacking it is considered very very basic and not really a professional tool, as far as I'm concerned. I know there is other software out there that doesn't allow straightening, because that would require cropping too. Why is it such a big deal if Sigma were to add cropping capability? The ability to straighten an image is SO basic that I just don't understand why Sigma didn't include it in the first version of SPP.

x3f files with reasonably good results as fast as SPP does or faster, I'm sure just about everyone here would be using it. though frankly, if Darktable could process. Are those two things so bad? Do you really think SPP is becoming bloatware? I'm not suggesting SPP become as complicated as Darktable. another thing that some people here have been asking for. Sigma has just now finally added a curves tool too. The fact is that we've been asking for all sorts of features to be added to SPP for years, and Sigma has finally added GPU processing. and shortly after that Sigma added a DNG recording function into their latest cameras. and then a few people put their heads together and created Kalpanika. Also Sigma does not have unlimited resources. Isn’t SPP mainly meant to be a raw converter? I’d rather have it do one job well than many things not so well.
